UCI 2004 Employee Opinion Survey
UCI Human Resources utilized the Wonderlic Consulting firm to conduct an Employee
Opinion Survey in the Fall of 2004. The results campus wide were quite positive,
higher in most areas than the normative data Wonderlic has compiled from 20,000
responses from a variety
of white collar type organizations as well as academic institutions.
There were ten survey categories:
Benefits
Career Opportunities
Communication
Commitment
Coworkers
|
Job attitudes
Overall
Satisfaction
Supervision
Workload
Work
and Family Balance |
The areas
of Benefits, Commitment, Coworkers, Job Attitudes, Overall Satisfaction, and
Work and Family Balance all had favorability ratings of at least 80%. Areas
rated campuswide between 50% and 80% were Career Opportunities, Communication,
and Supervision. The only area rated below 50% was Workload. The survey was
distributed to 4165 staff employees with a 31% response rate. (Academic employees,
including librarians,
were not included in the survey.) Statistically there is 99% confidence that
the overall results are within + or – 3% of the true attitudes and opinions
of all employees.
Specific results can be viewed from the links below.
