Worker's Compensation for Work-Incurred Illness & Injury

If a library employee is injured while in the workplace, it is essential that Library Human Resources be notified within 24 hours, to enable us to fulfill our reporting requirements under California law. If the employee is not able to notify Library Human Resources, the supervisor has the responsibility to do so. Please notify Shirley Lappi (x4-7115); if Shirley is not available, please contact Lynda Rogers at x4-2627 or Lillian Gates at x4-4934.

Employees who are injured while working may be eligible for benefits under the Workers' Compensation Program. The UCI Office responsible for the Workers' Compensation Program is Human Resources, which has a web site on the Workers' Compensation Program.
